eulogy to the shade

Eulogy to the shade is the name for an ongoing process of artistic exchange between artists from France, Germany, Korea and Japan. The aim of this project is the creation of long-term relationships between European and East Asian artists and venues to deepen cultural appreciation and exchanges. Over the last four years, Malgven Gerbesand David Brandstätter have worked regularly in Korea and Japan. During the development of this project they travelled together with the video artist Julien Crépieux and the sound designer Christoph Engelke through South Korea and Japan, to meet and exchange with local artists. The first publication for this venture is a documentary video with the same title, presented in the frame of  Tanznacht Berlin and at the Cornwall Film Festival.
